The course is aimed at all industries for operatives and is also attended by supervisors from time to time. The course includes an introduction to Health & Safety Law, the concepts and requirements for a Risk Assessment (this course will not include doing a risk assessment), Accident Prevention, Electricity at Work, Work Equipment Safety, Fire Safety, Hazardous Substances and Personal Protective Equipment etc.

The courses are normally operated in small groups to provide more personal assistance and guidance and it is structured in a practical and helpful way following the national syllabus set by the C.I.E.H.

The course is supported by videos and on completion a multi choice examination paper is taken and marks are often available the same day. A formal certificate is posted on later.
