Safety Passport

The course is 100% compliant with the governments (HSE) passport syllabus and based on the Accredited Working Safely IOSH course structure.

This aims to train workers to ensure that their actions contribute to health and safety in the workplace and that individual responsibilities
are clearly understood.

This is an accredited IOSH course and on successful completion a Credit Card style
Safety Passport is issued (normally no certificate is issued but can be supplied at additional cost)

The is course is delivered by BCS College who are accredited by I.O.S.H.

The course has been developed by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health
to address the safety and health training needs of the non expert. It also ideal for those who intend to progress onto the IOSH Managing Safely 4 day course run by BCS College.

The syllabus concentrates on:-

1) Defining safe working, identifying the hazards and risks, selecting or seeking advice on workplace precautions and assisting managers to prepare risk assessments.

2) Work place precautions for sources of hazards: fire, manual handling, electricity, display screen equipment, chemicals and substances, work equipment, movement of people, poor housekeeping and noise.

3) Improving the organisation's safety performance, including relevant accidents and incidents, monitoring work activities, commenting on health and safety policy, complying with requirements for control in safety management, co-operating with managers in safety activities, communicating on safety matters and identifying competencies required for safe working.
