This course satisfies the legal training requirements of the relevant parts of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.

It is illegal to mount these wheels without suitable training.

The course includes the legal requirement and responsibilities, the correct personal protective equipment, how to select certain equipment properly. The identification of a variety of abrasive wheels, checking for defects with practical examples. Practical speed testing of machine wheels, how to compute the comparative speeds. Safety precautions during operation as well as mounting etc . Practical mounting & assessing on a 230 volt Bench Grinder (including dressing), Petrol Stihl Saw and a 110 volt Portable Angle Grinder / cutting off wheel. There is also a supporting video.

This course does not include static balancing often required for larger wheels (please see our advanced course for this option)

In company training is also available.
