How a contract is made and how it can go wrong and the outcome, invitation to treat and third party rights under 1999 legislation, the implications of electronic signatures legislation and electronic communications legislation, civil law and criminal law, the court systems for both criminal and civil law, the impact on accidents, vicarious liability and a leading case, Volenti non fit injuria, evaluating a case study of an accident and the legal implications.

Tort including leading case studies and negligence, Robens and the lead up to HASAWA and the important parts of HASAWA for health and safety as well as the enforcement powers of the HSE etc. The interface with insurance and risk, evaluating practicable and reasonably practicable, requirements for the health and safety policy, typical responsibilities of key people including management, supervisors and health and safety practitioners and inspection.

A further more detailed case study with supporting video and evaluation of the legal implications and impact on the organisation and individual involved. Bench marking, setting and evaluating targets, training and a brief look at the impact of the Turnbull report.
