The Working at height Regulations came into force on the 6th April 2005 and amended in 2007. They apply to all employers and the self employed and the only exceptions to this are for ships, docks and specific sports activities. This course will cover the requirements of the Regulations and methods to achieve compliance to enable you to evaluate your own working arrangements and implement the necessary action to achieve compliance. This will include organisation, planning, avoidance, selection, fragile surfaces, danger areas, falling objects, inspection requirements, and duties etc.
The course includes practical demonstration of such items as fall arrest equipment, safety harness and suspension safety trauma straps. The changes to the law are included identifying where specific changes have taken place.
