This is an excellent course specially designed for those persons with no electrical training or experience. The course provides training on fitting 13 Amp plugs and 13 Amp loose sockets, a 13 Amp multi-gang connector and also wiring audio screened cable into a block connector. The course is assessed on a practical basis providing competence certification for successful completion.
The course is aimed at those person who may need to fit plugs and loose sockets or multi gang sockets to appliances or make up short extension leads and the course also includes details on the maximum lengths of extension leads and when to use an RCD protection device. It also includes fuse sizes and how to select the correct fuse size and the related current rating of typical cables for appliances and extension leads.
This course is based on 230 volt supply cables and low impedance audio cables and is also ideal for those persons who have completed a Portable Appliance Testing course who need to effect repairs by replacing plugs and/or making up short leads.
