Eligibility: Delegates attending this course must normally have first completed the Stress Safety Awareness course accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, or they must hold a degree or suitable Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health with suitable experience or hold a National Vocational Qualification in Occupational Safety & Health at level 4.
The course includes the complications with stress evaluation and perception including placebo, duke box theory, misattribution, GAS theory and the impact of life events and experiences and how these can be evaluated & turned into a useful management tool in the plan to control stress.
The Heurestic model is covered with examples and how to evaluate at corporate level whether or not stress exist in the organisation and including the HR approach. Presentation of statistics and constructive guidance on systems and procedures including health and environmental to reduce or eliminate stress. A typical example of a risk assessment is included for stress as well as covering the type of policy for stress and the course includes an example policy.
This is a well prepared course to the exacting standards of BCS College and will provide you with the ‘tools’ to be able to tackle stress at work properly whether on a preventative basis or dealing with existing problems. The course includes a supporting video.
